Water of Leith

Water of Leith

The Water Of Leith is a favourite for dog owners and nature lovers alike, from all over the city of Edinburgh. It is the main river running through the city of Edinburgh, connecting with the sea and the Firth of Forth via the port of Leith. The Water of Leith Walkway with runs alongside the river is the best place for the people of the city to find a bit of nature and greenery. The fact that it passes through the heart of the city makes it easy to commence or end your walk at any point along the walkway, by stepping back in to the busy city to walk or get the bus home. The walkway passes through and by many interesting areas, such as Murrayfield Stadium, Collinton Village, Saughton Winter Gardens, and the Royal Botanic Gardens. It’s the best way to mix the serenity of nature with the bustle of the city.
